Having originally studied Geography at the University of Aberdeen Daniel went on to study a postgraduate masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning at Edinburgh’s Heriot Watt University, graduating in 2007. Since graduating Daniel has worked in a number of planning roles in both the public and private sectors throughout the UK accruing over a decade of firsthand planning experience.

Daniel now lives in Cumbria and has strong connections to the area. Most recently Daniel worked as a senior planning officer at Eden District Council from 2013 – 2016 before running the planning team at Burnetts Solicitors as a senior planning consultant from 2016 – 2018.

Daniel has extensive experience in both urban and rural planning issues and an intimate understanding of how the planning process works and the opportunities to influence how decisions are taken. He is passionate about planning and committed to delivering the best results for his clients.
